In October 2018 the volume of construction work in Croatia increased by 5.6 percent year-on-year, preliminary figures of the state statistics bureau said on Wednesday.
According to the bureau’s preliminary seasonally and working-day adjusted data, the volume of construction work in October inched up 0.2 percent month-on-month.
By type of construction, year-on-year the volume of work on buildings was 6.3 percent up, while the volume of work on other structures – which includes infrastructure projects such as roads, railways, pipelines, bridges, etc. – was up by 4.8 percent.
Over the first ten months of 2018 as a whole, the volume of construction projects in Croatia increased by 4.8 percent compared to the same period in 2017, with works on buildings jumping by 11.3 percent, whereas in other structures the volume dropped by 3.7 percent.
