'Serbia and Croatia need a new agreement on prosecuting war crimes'

A new agreement on the prosecution of war crimes that would solve all the open issues between Serbia and Croatia is needed, Serbia’s Justice Minister Nela Kuburovic said on Saturday.

Kuburovic said that the exchange of lists containing names of those accused of war crimes is still a problem between the two countries.

“Unfortunately, Croatia’s submission of the list was followed by arrests of Serbs in Croatia who were not on it,” she said.

“It is very weird that some of these processes are being initiated more than 20 years later, as Croatian institutions had access to those persons all along,” she added.
