In November 2018 average net monthly salary in Serbia was 50,556 dinars (€471), while the average gross salary stood at 69,949 dinars (€593) Serbia's state statistics bureau said on Friday.

Over the first 11 months of 2018 the gross monthly salary went up by 6.0 percent nominally and by 3.9 percent in real terms compared to the same period a year earlier. Net salaries in the same period were 6.5 percent up nominally and 4.4 percent up in real terms.

Year-on-year, the average gross salary in November 2018 rose by 6.5 percent nominally and by 4.5 percent in real terms, while the average net salary was up by 7.0 percent nominally and 5.0 percent in real terms.

The median net salary in November stood at 39,654 dinars (€336), which means that 50 percent of all employees in Serbia earned salaries lower than that.
