At the end of May 2019, there were 259,233 citizens with frozen bank accounts for owing HRK 23.16 billion in total as well as 18,683 businesses for owing HRK 8.48 billion in total, according to Financial Agency data.
There were 46 more citizens with frozen bank accounts than in April 2019 and 67,146 fewer than in May 2018. Their total debt decreased by HRK 106.8 million on the month (-0.45%).
At the end of May 2019, there were 1,500 citizens with frozen bank accounts for owing over HRK 1 million each. They account for 37.85% of the total debt owed by citizens with frozen bank accounts.
As for businesses, in May 2019 there were 145 fewer with frozen bank accounts than in April 2019 (-0.8%).
