A court in the North Macedonian capital Skoplje has ordered extradition proceedings for a former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) trooper.

The court ordered KLA member Tomor Morina into extradition custody following his arrest under a warrant issued by the Serbian authorities. He was arrested at the Blace border crossing with Kosovo earlier this week.

A statement from the Kosovo Criminal Court said that it had ordered him into extradition custody under an Interpol warrant issued by Serbia.

A judge ordered Morina into custody for 30 days following his interrogation, pending extradition proceedings by the Justice Ministry.
