Croatian students won one gold, three silvers and one bronze medal at the 13th Middle European Mathematical Olympiad in Pardubice, the Czech Republic, the leaders of the Croatian team said on Sunday.
Kresimir Nezmah won a gold medal, David Mikulcic, Vedran Cifrek and Gabrijel Radovcic won one silver each and Lovro Vladic won a bronze. All hail from Zagreb’s 15th secondary school.
The competition was held from August 26 until September 1, with 60 contestants from Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland.
This was the sixth year in a row that a Croatian contestant won a gold medal in individual contest.
In the team contest results, Croatia ranked sixth. Poland was first.
