Croatian citizens will be able to vote in the December 22 presidential election in Croatia and at 124 polling stations in 47 other countries.

The State Election Commission said on Thursday 44 polling stations would be opened in Bosnia and Herzegovina, all in towns with Croatian diplomatic or consular offices – 19 in Mostar, ten in Vitez, six in Sarajevo, four in Livno, three in Tuzla and two in Banja Luka.

Seventeen polling stations will be opened in Germany (Berlin, Duesseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart).

There will be two polling stations each in Serbia (Belgrade, Subotica), Montenegro (Podgorica, Kotor), Austria (both at the embassy in Vienna), Hungary (Budapest, Pecs), Switzerland (Bern, Zurich), Turkey (Ankara, Istanbul) and Poland (Warsaw and the Bemowo Poskie army barracks); three in Italy (Rome, Trieste, Milan) and Canada (Ottawa, Mississauga); four in the United States (Washington, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago) and in Australia, where the polling stations will open first (Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth).

Two polling stations will also be opened in Afghanistan, at camps Marmal and Gibson, where Croatian troops are stationed as part of a peace mission.
