The Agrokor company on Tuesday lodged an appeal against a decision by the Slovenian Competition Protection Agency on the confiscation of the Mercator retailer's shares.
The Agency had no legal basis for the “unconstitutional, arbitrary and illegal” decision, Agrokor’s emergency administration said in a press release, adding that the competent misdemeanour court must deliver a decision in 48 hours.
Agrokor lodged the appeal against the Agency’s decision to confiscate Mercator shares in order to secure the enforcement of a non-final decision whereby the Agency fined Agrokor €53.9 million for failure to report concentration, the press release said.
