The border crossing regime from Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia will remain the same and citizens from those two countries would not be placed in self-isolation when entering Croatia, Croatia's Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic said on Sunday.
Bozinovic said he talked with his counterparts from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary and Slovenia in attempts to enable transit across the borders as smoothly as possible in the current conditions marked by the spread of COVID-19.
“By 7 am this morning we took in four convoys with 195 cargo vehicles and two buses. By 7 am, 41 cargo vehicles left Croatia via the Bajakovo border crossing with Serbia, and also 41 vehicles left Croatia via the Stara Gradiska border crossing with Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the Croatian minister said.
Those convoys were stuck on the Italian-Slovenian and the Slovenian-Croatian border in the past two days.
In addition, on Sunday morning 68 cargo vehicles and trucks, as well as two buses, were being escorted by police cars through Croatia on their way towards Bajakovo, and also 45 cargo vehicles were being escorted by police towards the Stara Gradiska border crossing.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases currently stands at 46.
