The main index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange, Crobex (CBX), plunged 7.05 percent on Monday to 1,405 points, hitting its lowest level since March 2009.
Regular turnover was HRK 24.2 million, almost HRK 29 million less than on Friday. Of the 53 shares traded today, 44 dropped in price, 7 were stable, and only two went up.
Today, HRK 21.7 million was generated in block trading, with the Valamar Riviera hotel group shares generating HRK 17.2 million. It was followed by the Atlantic group share and the Arena Hospitality group share, which generated HRK 2 million each in block trading.
In regular trading, the most liquid share was the HT telecom share, which turned over HRK 5.96 million. Its price dropped by 4.9% to HRK 145.50 per share.
The Valamar Riviera hotel group share dropped in price by 5.7% to HRK 21.50 per share, and it turned over HRK 3.4 million.
The Zagrebacka Banka share generated HRK 2.25 million, and its price sank by 8.26% to HRK 50 per share.
Six other shares generated a turnover of HRK one million or more, and all of them ended the day with a drop in price, which ranged from 2.13% (Koncar Electrical Industry) to 9.02% (Optima telecom).
