A third patient infected with the coronavirus has died at Ljubljana's University Hospital Medical Centre, the Slovenian health ministry confirmed on Monday, saying that the total number of people infected with the disease now stands at 414.

The latest victim is a 67-year-old man who had been suffering from a number of underlying conditions.

The previous two victims were an elderly man who had other chronic conditions and a 90-year-old woman.

According to Sunday’s data, so far 55 people have been hospitalised due to the disease, ten of whom are in the intensive care.

Montenegro reports first virus-related fatality

Montenegro has reported its first virus-related death on Sunday. The victim was a 65-year-old man who had recently travelled to Serbia. He suffered from chronic respiratory problems and had tested positive for the virus upon his admission to the Montenegrin clinical centre in Podgorica. 

On Sunday evening, 22 cases of the disease were confirmed in the country. 

Curfew imposed in Bosnia’s capital of Sarajevo

The number of coronavirus cases in Bosnia and Herzegovina has reached 128 after two new cases were confirmed in Brcko District, where until now there had been no cases of the disease.

The area of Banja Luka in the Serb entity still has the highest number of infected persons, 64 out of a total 90 confirmed so far in the entity.

The police also drove down the streets of the country’s capital of Sarajevo, warning the residents to stay in their homes and that the curfew has been introduced as a measure to fight the spread of the new coronavirus. So far, three persons have been fined, €250 each, for violating the prohibition of movement between 6 pm and 5 am.

Serbian government has also introduced a curfew to contain the virus, in effect between 5 pm and 5 am.

By 6 pm on Sunday, 222 coronavirus cases were confirmed in the country, a dramatic increase from only Sunday morning, when the case tally stood at 188. So far, two people have died in the country from the disease.
