Bosnia's coronavirus curve keeps flattening, more than half of patients recover

Bosnia has recorded 23 new Covid-19 patients, 22 in Republika Srpska (RS) and only one in Federation (FBiH), the healthcare authorities of both semi-autonomous regions said on Sunday in their daily press releases. New fatalities were reported in RS, bringing the death toll in the country to 133.

According to the Civil Affairs Ministry, Bosnia’s coronavirus tally now stands at 2,290 with more than half of the patients who have recovered to date.

FBiH has so far performed 27,767 lab tests, 645 over the last 24 hours, and has recorded the total of 1,004 Covid-19 patients to date, only one in the last 24 hours.

The region currently has 185 active cases on its territory, 782 patients have recovered and 37 died.

None of 28 hospitalised patients is connected to ventilators.

Of 522 lab tests performed over the last 24 hours in RS, Covid-19 was confirmed with 22 patients – nine men and 13 women.

Seven of 22 new patients have been hospitalised and others were ordered isolation in line with prescribed procedures.

The region has so far confirmed infection with the new coronavirus at 1,266 patients. The total of 638 has recovered and 92 died.

The latest fatality was a 64-year old woman who suffered from several other chronic diseased.

Brcko District, a separate administrative unit in the north, has reported 20 cases to date. With 16 of those who recovered and four fatalities, the region does not have any active cases at the moment.
