Bosnia recorded 21 new cases of Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, 19 from the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska entity and two from the Bosniak-Croat shared Federation entity, health authorities said Friday.
Republika Srpska entity conducted 617 tests for Covid-19, of which 19 came back positive, the entity Health ministry said, adding that the patients are three women and 16 men.
So far, this entity confirmed 1,339 cases of coronavirus infection, of which 100 had died.
Entity health officials said they tested 23,513 persons since the beginning of the pandemic in the country.
The Federation entity tested 632 samples, the Health Ministry’s Crisis Staff said, adding that only 2 samples came back positive.
The Staff said 33,273 people were tested since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 1,013 were positive and 37 had died as a result of the infection.
When it comes to the Brcko District, health authorities there confirmes 20 positive cases and four deaths, ever since the pandemic began in the country.
According to the State Civil Affairs Ministry, the country now has 2,372 confirmed cases, of which,1614 had recovered and 141 had died.
