Three more patients died in North Macedonia in the last 24 hours, and 163 more were tested positive on the coronavirus, the Health Minister Venko Filipce said on Friday, the Beta news agency reported.

He wrote on his Facebook profile that the death toll stood at 268, while 5,758 people contracted the new virus since the outbreak of the epidemic.

Filipce wrote that there were 3,284 active cases in the country, out of whom 425 were in hospitals and seven on ventilators.

The number of recovered stood at 2,206 patients.

In the last 24 hours, 1,074 people were tested, while since the start of the epidemic, that number was 56,809.
