Bulgaria and Italy close border for Serbian nationals

Due to the worsening coronavirus epidemic, Bulgarian authorities temporarily banned Serbia's nationals for entering the country from July 16 to 31, with exemptions of those who were in transit, returning to Serbia, N1 reported.

Italy joined Bulgaria, banning Serbia’s, Montenegro’s and Kosovo’s nationals from coming to this Mediterranean country.”

“Anyone who was in these countries in the last 14 days cannot enter or travel through Italy,” the country’s Health Minister Roberto Speranza said.

Both Belgrade and Podgorica have recently reported an increased number of cases of people infected with coronavirus. 

The ban applies to air, railroad and other traffic to and from Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo.

Earlier, the European Union Serbia and Montenegro from the list of safe countries for travelling to or from.
