Croatia posts 1.5m tourist arrivals over the first three weeks of July

Over the first 20 days of July Croatia recorded over 1.5 million tourist arrivals and over 11 million bed-nights, which was half of all the arrivals and bed-nights reported in 2020 so far, the national tourism association said on Wednesday.

Throughout the entire year so far Croatia has logged over 3.2 million arrivals and over 18 million bed-nights.

Of the coastal counties, the area around the city of Zadar recorded best results compared to last year, with 200,000 arivals, or 62 percent from July 2019.

By country of origin, the largest groups of foreign visitors are Germans, followed by Slovenians, Czechs, Austrians and Poles.

At the moment, 802 hotels and 407 campsites are open for business throughout the country.
