Over the past 24 hours 549 tests have confirmed 16 new coronavirus cases in Slovenia, the government said on Sunday.

Twenty-one patients are hospitalised for COVID-19, including four in intensive care. The number of active cases of infection is 241.

At the moment there are 11.5 active infections per 100,000 inhabitants over a fortnight.

To date, Slovenia has reported 2,082 cases of the new virus. The death toll is 116.
