In the last 24 hours, 919 tests for the novel coronavirus have been performed in Slovenia and 14 turned out to be positive, the government said on Wednesday, adding that no new deaths were recorded.
It was the same number of new cases as on Tuesday, when 14 of 874 tests done returned positive and one person died.
Currently, 21 infected people are hospitalised, four more than on Tuesday, and three of them need intensive care. The new infections were identified in 13 municipalities.
Since the start of the coronavirus outbreak in Slovenia, 2,115 cases have been confirmed and 237 are currently active. The death toll has reached 117.
The government said on Tuesday, citing data for the past two weeks, that 40 percent of the new infections originated from the workplace.
