Bosnian health authorities reported 377 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, 301 from the Bosniak-Croat shared Federation (FBiH) entity and 76 from the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity. The authorities added there were 11 virus-related fatalities in the country.
The FBiH health authorities said they tested 974 samples of which 301 came back positive. The entity also recorded 10 virus-related fatalities.
The RS health officials said they tested 506 samples of which 76 tested positive for SARS-COV-2. This entity recorded one virus-related fatality.
The city with the most reported cases was Sarajevo where 167 positive results were reported.
The CEO of Sarajevo University Clinical Centre, Sebija Izetbegovic, told N1 that a 37-year-old man with no prior diseases had died last night after he was hooked to a ventilator, adding that there are 71 patients who are undergoing treatment at the Covid-19 clinic within the hospital.
The authorities in both entities reported a total of 230 recoveries over the past 24 hours.
