Croatia was listed among top 20 most desirable destinations to visit in 2021, according to a recent survey made by Visrtuoso, an American luxury travel agencies group.
“Visitors using the Virtuoso Wanderlist, an online travel planning platform, created a wishlist of counties they would like to visit next year, and based on their ratings, Croatia was included among top 20 most desirable destinations in the world,” the director of national tourist board’s United States branch, Ina Rodin, explained in a press release.
Along with Croatia, eight other European countries made the list (France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom), four in Africa (Botswana, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania), two in Asia (Japan and Thailand), and five in the rest of the world (Argentina, Australia, Mexico, New Zaland, and the US state of California).
Rodin added that the American media are constantly reporting about Croatia’s beauty, including Tennessee-headquartered Lonely Planet travel book publisher, which recently reported about the ten most beautiful beaches on Croatia’s Adriatic coast – Zlatni Rat (on the island of Brac), Prapratno (Peljesac peninsula), Paradise Beach (island of Rab), Stiniva (island of Vis), Zrce (island of Pag), Dubovica (island of Hvar), Kamenjak (Premantura peninsula), Sahara (island of Rab), Punta Rata (Brela) and Lubenice (island of Cres).
