In the last 24 hours, of 1,203 tests conducted for the coronavirus infection in Slovenia, 43 have returned positive, the government stated on Saturday.
This was a daily increase after, in the previous 24 hours, a total of 1,096 tests were performed and 38 turned out positive.
The government reported one more COVID-related death in the last 24 hours, and now Slovenia’s death toll due to the complications stemming from this infectious disease stands 131.
There are now 370 COVID active cases in Slovenia, including 18 who are receiving hospital treatment.
Since the onset of the epidemic, 149,390 tests have been performed, and 2,617 people have been diagnosed with the disease.
Lately, a majority of the new cases have been young people returning from holidays abroad, and they usually have mild symptoms and do not require hospital treatment.
