North Macedonia’s Health Ministry said on Wednesday that five people had died over the previous 24 hours of coronavirus-related ailments, bringing the total to 578 since the pandemic broke out.

It said that 2,065 people had been tested, including 119 who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. A total of 142,158 people have been tested since the pandemic began, 13,914 of who tested positive.  

The ministry said that there are 2,829 active cases, including 55 on ventilators.  

The North Macedonia Public Health Institute reported that 297 patients had recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 10,507.
