Over 90% of schools in Croatia are conducting classes according to Model A, which means pupils attend school, 265 pupils have tested positive for the coronavirus, and 2,089 are self-isolating, according to the data provided by the Science and Education Ministry.
Of the infected pupils, 67 are aged six and under, while 196 are aged seven to 18.
As for teachers, 95 are self-isolating and 26 are positive for the virus, the ministry told Hina.
The ministry had prepared three models for conducting lessons this school year, and schools choose a model themselves in cooperation with the founder and the local COVID management team.
Currently, 1,232 schools, or 91.39%, are conducting classes according to Model A, which means that pupils attend school physically. Model B, a combination of face-to-face classes and distance learning, has been chosen by 109 schools (8.09%), while seven schools (0.52%) have opted for Model C, online classes.
The ministry collected the data based on a form filled in by 99.12% of schools.
