The Croatian government on Wednesday adopted a regulation on the establishment of a firefighting school.
The regulation notes that the previous system of education, which made it possible also for other institutions to educate firefighters, had shown numerous shortcomings regarding the acquisition of basic professional competencies.
The establishment of the firefighting school will enable uniform planning and work organisation, definition of professional and qualification standards, and will ensure uniform training for volunteer firefighters.
Next week, a session of the government’s Council for Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem will be held, Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic announced.
The government today also gave its consent to the Health Ministry to acquire non-financial assets to support, maintain and upgrade the Central Health Information System and sign the relevant contract.
