Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, referring to the fact that the moratorium on debt enforcement expires on October 19, expressed hope on Wednesday that there would be fewer such actions than before, but noted that debtors should meet their obligations.
“Obligations must be complied with. Anyone taking on any obligations must be able to meet them,” Plenkovic said at a cabinet meeting, recalling that the initial duration of the moratorium was three months and that it had been extended for another three months.
“I think we have done a lot with the measures we have undertaken to keep jobs, provide different kinds of aid, and ensure wages and subsidies to the employers and the private sector. We will continue these measures where necessary,” the prime minister said.
