Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs and Human Rights, Boris Milosevic, said while taking part in the Remembrance Procession in Vukovar that there was no illusion that the problem of the disappeared would be solved during his term, but he would definitely be committed to solving this issue.
“I hope a dialogue will open in the coming period and that we will find, if not all, then the largest possible number of those who disappeared,” said Milosevic, who was participating in the commemoration on the occasion of Homeland War Victims Remembrance Day and Vukovar and Skabrnja Victims Remembrance Day on Wednesday.
He also said that for the sake of the future and young people it was necessary to find a common path, a path of reconciliation and dialogue.
“Today, just like in 1991 before the war, more than a third of Vukovar’s citizens are of Serb ethnic background. (…) It is necessary to establish a real dialogue at the local level,” Milosevic told the N1 broadcaster.
