Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandrokovic, who participated in Wednesday's Remembrance Procession in Vukovar, said that a lot of years had passed since the Homeland War and "we should now turn to the future" and be forward-looking.

Jandrokovic also welcomed the fact that Deputy Prime Minister Boris Milosevic, a representative of ethnic Serbs in Croatia, was taking part in today’s processes on the occasion of the Vukovar and Skabrnja Victims Remembrance day,

“We have come here to commmorate the victims and to condemn the crimes,” the parliament speaker said.

“It is clear to everyone that the regime of (Serbian leader) Slobodan Milosevic and a Great Serbian policy tried to conquer the territory of Republic of Croatia. However, many years have passed, and we should turn to the future and think of the future and new generations. It is good that Deputy Prime Minister (Boris) Milosevic is here with us,” said Jandrokovic.

He expressed conviction that the procession and commemorative events would pass in an orderly manner and in compliance with the anti-Covid measures.
