A total of 1,296 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Bosnia in the past 24 hours and 59 more people passed away due to COVID-19, healthcare authorities said on Wednesday.
In Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity, 885 of the 2,832 samples tested since Tuesday came back positive and 27 COVID-19 patients died.
In the other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 370 of 1,000 people tested were positive, while 28 died due to the disease.
Bosnia’s Brcko District also registered 41 new coronavirus cases and four COVID-19 deaths.According to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, 97,317 people have tested positive for the virus in Bosnia since the beginning of the epidemic and 61,322 have recovered so far.
The COVID-19 death toll is 3,151.
The number of active coronavirus cases in the country is currently 32,844.
