Bosnian film director Jasmila Zbanic was nominated for Best Director at the BAFTA Award presented by the British Film Academy for her film about the 1995 Srebrenica genocide titled "Quo Vadis, Aida?". The two nominations made Zbanic’s film one of the top competitors at 2021 BAFTAs. Other directors nominated for the award are Thomas Vinterberg (for “Another Round”), Shannon Murphy (for “Babyteeth”), Lee Isaac Chung (for “Minari”), Chloe Zhao (for “Nomadland”) and Sarah Gavron (for “Rocks”).

BAFTA awards will be presented on Sunday, 11 April at the 74th annual ceremony.
