A 4.7-magnitude earthquake was registered in the wider area of the Croatian coastal city of Sibenik, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported on Tuesday morning.
The quake was registered shortly before 6 am on Tuesday.
The earthquake had the epicentre some 13 kilometres southeast of Sibenik, the Croatian Seismology Service reported.
The county emergency centre said there are no reports of significant damage so far.
“We received information that a car had hit a piece of rock that broke away and fell on the road near the village of Vrpolje (southeast of Sibenik), but no one was injured,” the centre said.
