“Adria News, based in Zagreb, as a company with significant experience in creation of media content and a programme offering media services, N1 TV, is interested in becoming a broadcaster on a national level with free terrestrial reception.
As you know, N1 was launched in October 2014, with more than 150 professional TV and web journalists taking part in creation of news, sport, entertainment, and educational content. Thanks to this professional team of reporters and editors and aided by advanced technology, N1 offers on-the-spot, correct, and timely information.
Our hard work and commitment was recognised by viewers across the country and abroad, and the next logical step in our further development can be accomplished by granting us a nation-wide FTA frequency.
N1’s ratings are measured in AGB Nielsen, as well as AdScanner and Croatian Telecom (HT), which are regularly available on the Electronic Media Agency (AEM) website.
According to those figures, N1 TV is the most-watched of all non-terrestrial TV channels.
With that in mind, and particularly taking into account our width of experience and a large team of professionals, as well as the need for us to grow from a production centre into a full-capacity media content provider, we hereby express an interest for FTA frequencies on the territory of the Republic of Croatia and we invite you to, in line with Article 72 of the Electronic Media Act (ZEM), conduct the necessary preparations for a tender to grant a licence. We also ask that, in line with Article 73 of ZEM, a notice is published on the intention of granting licences for offering TV and radio media services on the technical basis determined by the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM).
We kindly ask that we are notified after the aforementioned actions are taken, so that we are able to timely deliver our offer in line with Article 53, paragraph 5 of the Act.”
