Famous pianist Daniil Trifonov to perform in Dubrovnik

This year's Grammy award winner for Best Classical Instrumental Solo, the famous Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov, will perform as part of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival on Monday, August 6, in the atrium of Rector's Palace of the southern Croatian city.

Trifonov also won the 2016 Artist of the Year Award given by the Gramophone magazine, and has achieved huge success in the world of classical music as a soloist and composer.

His style, described as a unique blend of impeccable technique and tender touch, won audiences around the world, at prestigious festivals and renowned venues, including seven concerts at New York’s Carnegie Hall. Trifonov won top prizes in competitions devoted to classical music pieces composed by Frédéric Chopin and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Trifonov will perform a selection of Chopin pieces, and the concert is scheduled to start at 21:30. More information and tickets are available at the festival’s official website.
