Clarinetist Andreas Ottensamer to perform in Dubrovnik

Principal clarinetist of the Berlin Philharmonic Andreas Ottensamer and Argentinian pianist José Gallardo will perform on Tuesday evening in the Rector Palace atrium in Dubrovnik, as part of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival.

The two will perform Rhapsodie by Claude Debussy, Pocket Size Sonata by Alec Templeton, La fille by Claude Debussy and Béla Kovács: Easy Moments. In the second part of the concert, the audience will enjoy Three Preludes by George Gershwin, Clarinet Sonata by Camille Saint-Saëns and Sonatina by Joseph Horovitz.

Ottensamer has been principal clarinetist of the Berlin Philharmonic since 2011. His album, Brahms: the Hungarian connection, won the Echo Klassik award, one of the most prestigious music awards worldwide, for instrumentalist of the year in 2015.

José Gallardo’s collaboration with Ottensamer began in 2003, when they started working jointly as artistic directors of the Bürgenstock Chamber Music Festival in Lucerne (Switzerland).
