The Agrokor food and retail group generated 13.4 billion kuna (€1.8 billion) in revenues in the first seven months of 2018, 6 percent less than planned, while operating profit in the same period was 20.7 million kuna (€2.7 million) above plan, reaching 1.1 billion kuna (€148 million), the group's emergency administration said in a monthly report.
The Konzum supermarket chain, as the largest company in retail and wholesale sector, generated over 5 billion kuna (€674 million) in revenues in the first 7 months of 2018, 0.4 percent above plan.
In July alone, Konzum’s revenues were 2 percent above plan, and the positive trend continued throughout August, when turnover increased by 3 percent compared to August last year, while online sails went up by 20 percent.
Konzum’s operating profit was around 330 million kuna (€) at the end of August.
The food production sector generated revenues of some 4.7 billion kuna (€633.3 million), with operating profits of some 40 million (€5.3 million) over plan, amounting to 792.5 million kuna (€106.7 million).
The agriculture sector recorded revenues of 1.19 million kuna (€160,348).
