Croatia will send humanitarian aid to Albania in the amount of one million kuna to help alleviate the consequences of earthquakes that hit that country in the last few days, the government decided at a session on Thursday.
“Following our decision of two days ago to send to Albania members of a Civil Protection intervention team in charge of search and rescue operations, today we are making a decision, after consultations with the Albanian government, to send humanitarian aid in the amount of roughly one million kuna,” said Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic.
Croatia will send tents, power generators and other equipment needed by people who have lost their homes, said the PM, adding that Croatia would continue to closely follow the situation and make further decisions to help alleviate the consequences of the grave natural disaster in Albania.
