Over the past 24 hours, Slovenia has recorded 30 new coronavirus cases among 1,456 people tested, which is 14 more than on Friday.

Six patients are hospitalised and not one is in intensive care. There have been no new fatalities and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 111.

The 30 new cases reported on Saturday is the highest number of new cases in the past two and a half months. Unlike in mid-March, when the epidemic was declared, younger people and men account for a majority of the new cases.

Of the latest 30, 18 are under 44, including a four-year-old, five are aged 45-54, three are aged 55-64, two are aged 65-74 and one is over 75.

One of the coronavirus clusters is Maribor, where the number of positive health staff in the local hospital has risen from eight to 11.
