Bosnia smashes previous record with 728 new coronavirus cases and 20 deaths

According to Bosnian health authorities, the country recorded 728 new cases of coronavirus, on Tuesday, along with 20 deaths caused by the disease.

The country’s Federation (FBiH) entity reported 473 new cases after testing 1,754 samples for the new coronavirus. The entity’s Public Health Institute said they recorded 14 deaths caused by the new coronavirus.

The Republika Srpska (RS) region said they registered 245 new cases of the disease after testing 817 suspected samples. This entity also reported having four fatalities over the last 24 hours.

Brcko District also reported 10 new cases.

The hardest-hit city is Sarajevo once again with a total of 95 confirmed cases.

Yesterday, the country had 541 confirmed Covid-19 cases. Health officials from both entities warned that hospital capacities are diminishing rapidly, urging citizens to adhere to prevention measures.
