Justice and Public Administration Minister Ivan Malenica on Monday gave an instruction identifying the way in which state administration bodies are to carry out their work and identifying situations in which staff are to work from home.
State administration staff will work directly with clients only when it is not possible to perform work in another way.
The minister gave the instruction on measures for curbing the epidemic and ensuring conditions for perfoming state administration duties regularly based on a decision by the government and with prior consent from the Prime Minister, the ministry said.
The instruction also applies to public services, with the exception of health care, science and education, and social welfare, the work of which is regulated by special regulations.
According to the ministry’s instruction, all state administration bodies and offices, as well as other government departments are obliged to carry out all tasks within their scope, with adherence to all epidemiological measures and recommendations introduced by the Croatian Public Health Institute.
The instruction stipulates that within three days after its adoption coordinators for protection against disease will be appointed, and employees must report to them in case of infection or suspicion of infection.
