A graffiti saying ‘death to journalists’ appeared on Sunday near a building where the offices of N1 Zagreb and other two media outlets, news websites Net.hr and Telegram, are located.

N1 said it would inform the Ministry of Internal Affairs about it. 

The graffiti appeared only a few days after the journalists and media associations’ representatives staged a protest in Zagreb, expressing dissatisfaction over intimidation of journalists and the threats they are exposed to, and generally over the conditions they work in.

It also comes after a recent incident involving uniformed police, who visited the Net.hr news website’s office to ID their journalist Djurdjica Klancir, in relation to a civil lawsuit being filed against her.

N1 hosted Klancir last week in its programme to speak about this case.
