Croatia's government on Thursday decided to allocate two million kuna for five strategic projects designed to address the needs of ethnic Croats in four countries.

The government thus accepted a proposal made by the Central State Office for Croats Abroad to help cultural projects of the Croat communities in Austria, Hungary, Montenegro and Serbia.

The head of the Office, State Secretary Zvonko Milas, said that the financial aid would help the Croat communities to implement their cultural projects and reinforce their bonds with Croatia.

The government also gave its consent for the allocation of HRK 375,000 to the secondary school for nurses within the Catholic Educational Centre in Bihac, northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina, thus granting the request forwarded by the Roman Catholic Diocese in Banja Luka.

The Andrej Plenkovic cabinet also endorsed the UN General Assembly’s statement on being united in reducing the loss of biodiversity until 2030.
