Europe's industrial production recovered in November 2021 after falling for three months, while Croatia's registered the biggest decrease in seven months, a Eurostat report showed on Wednesday. Pročitaj više

In November 2021, seasonally adjusted industrial production rose by 2.5% in the EU and by 2.3% in the euro area, compared with October 2021, when industrial production fell by 0.8% in the EU and by 1.3% in the euro area.

The biggest increase in both the EU and the euro area was in the production of non-durable consumer goods, of 3% in the EU and of 3.2% in the euro area, after a mild increase in the preceding month.

The production of capital goods went up by 2.3% in the EU and by 1.5% in the euro area while energy production increased by 0.9% in the EU and by 1.2% in the euro area.

Production in the durable goods sector stagnated in the EU and fell by 0.2% in the euro area.

Among member states for which data are available, the highest monthly increases were registered in Ireland (+37.3%), Poland (+5.9%) and the Czech Republic (+4.8%).

In November industrial production in Croatia decreased by 1.4% compared with October when it had increased by 1.8%. The November decrease in industrial production was strongest since April, when industrial output dropped by 2.0%.

The biggest decrease in industrial production was registered in Belgium (-4.4%), followed by Malta (-3.7%) and Luxembourg (-2.3%).

In November 2021 compared with November 2020, industrial production stagnated in the EU after rising by 0.9% in October, and in the euro area it decreased by 1.5% after a 0.2% increase in October.

In Croatia industrial production increased by 3.6% on the year after increasing by 2.6% in October year-on-year.
