The Kosovo Health Ministry said on Thursday that the number of new coronavirus cases was rising rapidly with 1,009 cases registered out of 6,784 people tested in the previous 24 hours.

It said that two people had died of related ailments in that period bringing the total number to 2,276 since the pandemic broke out. It said that there are 4,444 active cases with another 82 recoveries. A total of 214 patients are in hospital with 139 on ventilators.
