The law on the Croatian Chamber of Crafts and Trades (HOK) will be amended whereby the HOK membership fee will be cut from the current HRK 75 to HRK 50 a month, branch offices will be abolished and an artisanal and craftsmanship school will be established.
The economy ministry-sponsored bill was put for public consultation last week and the proposed changes, among other things, envisage a lower membership fee.
The bill also recommends changing the HOK organisation and abolishing branch offices which would also lead to savings and should improve relations in the chamber with members.
HOK said that the number of employees in the organisation would also be reduced six months after the law comes into force.
With regard to the artisanal and craftsmanship school, HOK explained that the objective of this school is to enable faster activation of young people on the labour market.
