Croatian Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic said on Saturday the Croatian police guaranteed the protection of Croatia's borders and that there were no new migrant flows across them.

If there were no Croatian police and resolute work on border protection, there certainly would be flows, he told reporters when asked if Croatia was prepared for a new migrant flow.

Asked about the announced government reshuffle, Bozinovic said it was not about replacements. “It was simply concluded that the government’s needs refreshing,” he said, adding that “concrete decisions are in the prime minister’s remit and he will make them.”

Bozinovic would not say if State Assets Minister Goran Maric was a burden to the government in the wake of media reports that the USKOK anti-corruption office is investigating him.
