Negotiations on wages in healthcare sector continue on Monday

The government and the unions in the healthcare sector on Friday held a round of negotiations on the unionists' demands on higher wages as envisaged by a draft collective agreement, which was recently initialled, and after the meeting, nurses' trade union leader, Ankica Prasnjak said that no concrete proposal was put on the table.

The unionists said that they would not give up from their demands, and criticised the government of trying to buy some time. However, they informed the press that they were preparing certain activities i the event of failed negotiations which will force them to go on strike.

Health Minister Milan Kujundzic said that no concrete proposal had been today discussed and that the negotiations would resume on Monday.
