The Commission on Prevention of Conflict of Interest on Friday initiated proceedings against Civic and Liberal Alliance (GLAS) MP Anka Mrak-Taritas for failing to declare payments she had received during her term as a minister while sitting on two state examination boards.

During her time as Minister of Construction and Physical Planning, Mrak-Taritas sat on the examination boards for real estate agents and architects.

She was appointed to the examination board for real estate agents by the then Minister of Construction and Physical Planning, Ivan Vrdoljak, and later when she became the minister she appointed herself to the board. From mid-November 2012 to mid-January 2016 she received a total remuneration of about HRK 39,000 (€5,200).

She sat on the examination board for architects at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce from 2008 to 2017. She did not specify in her declaration of assets how much she had been paid for that.
