The official data showed on Wednesday that out of 88,432 people tested 95 were confirmed infected with the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, while two patients died from COVID-19-related complications.

The Health Ministry said the death toll rose to 718 and that a mortality ratio was 2.27 percent.

It added that a total of 545 patients were hospitalised on Wednesday, 41 of them on ventilators.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Serbia on March 6, a total of 955,730 people were tested, and coronavirus infection was confirmed in 31,676 cases.
