The British tour operator Jet2holidays and Jet2.com has announced additional flights to the Adriatic cities of Split and Dubrovnik, so arrivals from Great Britain can be expected to continue throughout September and October as well, the Croatian Tourism Board (HTZ) said on Monday.
The head of the HTZ office in London, Darija Reic, said that flights from Manchester to Split had been extended until 7 October, from Birmingham and London to Split until the end of October and also that it would be possible to book travel arrangements for Split from Leeds too.
The leading UK tour operator has also announced flights from Manchester and London to Dubrovnik, to last until the middle of October, and it will also offer flights to Dubrovnik from Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds and Newcastle.
HTZ director Kristjan Stanicic said that around 16,000 British tourists were staying in Croatia currently, mostly in Split-Dalmatia and Dubrovnik-Neretva counties.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays executive director Steve Heapy has said that considering the company’s excellent sales during the summer, he expected the demand for Split and Dubrovnik to continue for the remainder of the year.
