Coronavirus: Serbia reports 17 deaths and 4,017 new infections

Over the last 24 hours, 17 patients died from COVID-19-related complications and out of 15,774 tested, 4,017 people were infected with the coronavirus, Serbian Health Ministry said on Friday.

To date, COVID-19 claimed a total of 4,525 lives with a mortality rate of 0.94 percent.

On Friday, 4,161 patients were hospitalised, 166 of whom on ventilators.

Since the epidemic outbreak in March 2020, 3,018,254 people have been tested, and 478,878 samples have returned positive for the new virus.
