At the end of September 2021, 119,094 persons were registered with the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ), which is 28,340 fewer job-seekers or 19.2% down from September 2020, state agency Hina said on Monday, citing latest HZZ figures.
September was the sixth month in a row in which the number of the jobless decreased year-on-year. Hina did not offer any explanation for the decrease.
Unemployment decreased also on the month, with 6,407 fewer job-seekers than in August, a 5.1% drop, according to the HZZ.
In September 15,008 people registered with the HZZ, which is a 26.4% decrease from September last year, while 21,415 people were struck from the unemployment register, a 12% decrease year on year.
In September 2021, 25,333 job-seekers or 21.3% of those registered with the HZZ received unemployment benefits, down by 26.7% from September 2020.
